Focal Point recently finished our beautiful house and we were just able to celebrate our first Christmas in the new house. Nick Jans was our excellent project manager that lead the way from start to finish!!! Nick and his team were wonderful to work with.

Focal Point is such a great custom builder. I had clients who choose to move forward with them after interviewing a handful of builders. Focal Points staff and customer service is top notch. Their high quality work coupled with great design support makes for a great experience when building a home. Their PM was Matt Wagner and he is by far one of the best in the industry when it comes to making sure that the client is heard and their expectations are met. I work with a lot of builders and Focal Point is one of the best in the Northern VA area. If you are looking to buy a Spec home or do a custom built home, you should reach out to them.

Focal Point Homes has not only lived up to its stellar reputation; they have exceeded our expectations. The process started with Adam White, a FPH sales rep who was patient, knowledgeable and demonstrated great integrity throughout the entire process. We first looked into already constructed homes with Adam, but then decided on one that was just about to begin construction. It was a pleasure working with Adam, from our first questions about the process through the end of the build. Once we went under contract, we started working with our project manager, Mike Perez, who continually went above and beyond to ensure every detail was covered, projects were completed to spec, and timelines were met or exceeded. He consistently answered our questions and remained highly available and very responsive. Even at the tail end of the pandemic, when supply chains were strained, Focal Point wisely looked around corners, planning far ahead and ensuring our supplies arrived on time. The home was actually finished a month earlier than expected! In addition to that, the work is very high quality. Our inspection found nothing substantial and after living in the home for over a year, we have found things to be very well constructed and have seen no major issues. A real testimony to the quality of this company is how they have remained engaged even after we moved in. Our project manager Mike Perez has continued to support us, answer questions, and schedule any follow-up appointments long after closing. During our punch-list walk-through, as opposed to doing the minimum, Mike will notice things himself and mark them to be fixed. Mike has demonstrated the utmost professionalism and customer care to this day, well over a year since we moved in. Put simply, Mike and FPH stand by their product, and that has given us a great sense of peace about such a large project and purchase. I could say similar things about the design team, legal and contractual folks, or the owner himself: we could not be happier with the whole Focal Point team! At one point I asked the design team for some advice about the size of a TV I wanted to mount in a tricky location (not part of their job) and they were happy to make a recommendation, which has worked out perfectly. Even the owner has walked our home and overseen the details. FPH truly works as a team, from sales to design to project management and beyond. If you’re looking for a builder, look no further. My wife and I have extremely high standards and have only been impressed with Focal Point Homes, who helped make our dream home a reality.

Focal Point was amazing to work with and we absolutely love our new home. We first met with FPH several years ago when we thought we were ready to build, as it turned out we wound up moving out of the area for several years, but we kept in touch with the FPH team and were very impressed with their professionalism, patience, and absolutely zero stress zero pressure approach. When we knew we were moving back to the area we worked with them as we shopped for tear down properties. They made it very easy to determine which lots would work for what we wanted to do and which would not. Then we did the design and build almost entirely remotely from out of town with virtual meetings with their designers and project managers. I don't think we could have done this remotely with any other builder. FPH made it very easy, and helped us as we made changes and adjustments to some of our choices throughout the build. Can't recommend them strongly enough. PS- We worked with multiple project managers at FPH over the course of our build and they were all fantastic, but we worked primarily with Nick and we have to give him a special shout out because he was amazing, particularly considering we did it almost all from out of town.

We spent a year looking and getting outbid for our ideal home. Eventually we decided to pay far too much for a tear-down home in the right neighborhood and build from scratch. Focal Point was the only builder we considered. We did so because we’d seen and been in many of their homes. Every one of them was warm, beautiful, and comfortable. Just as importantly, the people at Focal Point were kind, straightforward, and knowledgeable — we also felt we could trust them, unlike some other builders out there. We’ve had a great experience with Focal Point. Building a house is complicated and there are always bumps along the way, but we never felt like we were on our own. Focal Point always made us feel like we were their number 1 customer, even though they were building 20 more houses at the same time. Our house is as beautiful as we could have hoped, and so far any quality issues have been minor. Give Focal Point a call, you won’t be disappointed.

We love our new Focal Point Home! Our house is beautiful, comfortable and equipped with the latest technology. Adam helped us find the perfect lot, Samantha guided us to beautiful interior and exterior design choices, and Nick built it just how we wanted—and on time! It was a pleasure to interface with the entire team of Focal Point Home professionals.

Focal Point Homes gave us a fantastic experience for our home build, their staff are friendly, caring and go the extra mile to cater to any request during the process. The home is beautiful, well thought out and finished to very exacting standards, even to the point that they deemed a bench top in our bathroom didn't match their vision and they swapped it out to ensure they only deliver a first class product. We cannot praise this company enough, nothing was too much trouble and after sales service has been exemplary. If you're contemplating building your dream home, you would be hard pressed to find a better company than Focal Point to realize your dreams.

Great firm. Building a house you hear all the contractor horror stories. I can honestly say we had no issues with Focal Point. Very professional. Stayed on time. Incredibly responsive. Took the time to get to know the neighbors in case of any issues--a very nice touch. Our project manager Nick was fantastic--and continues to be even after completion of construction. Would definitely work with them again.
